Hi

Dxed in March 2021 with psa 189.6 and widespread bone Mets, with gods grace triplet therapy worked well for me so far, psa remained undetectable and scans good. Very tired ofcourse but may be due to my young age (45y) I exercise lot and perform as well as anyone in my work area, software engineer by profession.

My company now sending me on a work assignment to san antonio texas for 1 yr, my first time to US.

I will be on my own and a bit worried about my food arrangement. I am fully on seeds nuts and fruits and veggies salad - so those I can manage myself. But in india I depends on lentils and soyabeans and beans and grams for my protein,

Question : What will be my option in US for protein source, preferably I want to mix that with my Blanched veggies to save time and effort

Question :

What dressing is safest and healthiest to use in US for my Blanched veggies?

Question:

On some day definitely I will feel like not making my food, then what are my ready made food options - I want least suvar least oil no meat vegan option, Mediterranean will help, I have very adaptive test buds

Question-

Is there anything called cancer lunch box? Are that upto the promise?

Sorry lot of questions, but since this heavy dx I become choosy about food.

Any idea, any pointer will be appreciated.

Thank you everyone in advance.

All that you need is available in the US. I would start at Whole Foods, then as you get acclimated, you can branch out to other food locations, Costco, etc. However, while your in Texas, you must try a Texas BBQ as long as it doesn't violate a religious requirement of not meat.

Hello: My grandson is actually 1/4th Indian, and his other grandpa is full Indian, from Pannu area.

I am mostly vegan normally, but eat fish maybe once per week. I use chronometer to measure protein, fat and carb intake.

I get my vegan protein mostly from nutritional yeast, hemp hearts, salmon, tuna, and plant protein powder. I don’t know of any grocery stores that sell bulk items in San Antonio, but there have to be some.

For dressing, I use Extra Virgin Olive oil and vinegar.

Thanks, I take it as a warm welcome, in india I do use olive oil and a mix of spices for dressing. Sea foods are not available in my interior eastern india but planning to savor them in usa.

Thank yoy sir!

You could do worse than checking out a Walmart with food section. They also have pharmacies and supps. And for non-perishables, on-line ordering works well.

The prices at Whole Foods are awfully and IMO unnecessarily high.

I've never been to San Antonio but every major city I have been to has Indian grocery and restaurants.

Hopefully you will be in a long term hotel that has a kitchenette so you can do your own cooking.

A quick check on google maps found these stores:

You will love the area. Lived there for 5 years.

There is so much to see and explore. Visit the hill country in blue bonnet season, bring a raincoat for the winter. Go to Corpus Christi and enjoy the ocean and sea food. Stop by New Branful (sp) for the best barbecue in TX. Visit the river walk at least once. Visit the historic home area to see some amazing old homes. Do not walk on the black dirt after it rains you will grow 4 inches from the mud. Visit the Bracken bat cave. Watch out for snakes if you hike. Visit the Alamo. I was totally disappointed after seeing it. Spoiler alert. I pictured it being in wide open country like in the movie. Watch out for black ice driving in the winter.

I could go on and on but enjoy your time there. Remember everything is bigger in Texas. It takes three days of driving to go across the state.
