LYNPARZA Nausea…. Any solutions and does it last?

I started Lynparza two weeks ago and now am frequently nauseous. My doctor prescribed zofram for that, and it helps a little but not that much.

Does this nausea get better with time? Any solutions? I have thrown up every few days.

Mine was horrible but as it turned out it was from the iron supplement I was taking. I am struggling with anemia right now and MO is worried it will begin to erode bone marrow. Took 2 week break and went on 3 pills a day. Will know next week what next step is. Fun fact: my MO was part of drug development team and is uniquely qualified to administer this drug. Hope nausea passes. Did you start with a week of one pill then gradually move up to 4?

I drink ginger tea, 2or 3 coin sized slices of ginger root in a cup of boiling water, works well for me, also eat little and often, I start to feel nauseous 2 hours after food, so a biscuit or slice of bread helps to keep it at bay.

I had to cut the dose. I take one pill in the morning and 2 at bedtime.

I will ask my doctor about that!

I have no advice for you but we are also in Maryland; I'm here for my FIL who has advance CRPC. Wondering if I can reach out regarding where best treatment options are as we've had a terrible time with Chesapeake Urology.

Sorry, I did not see this. Yes, feel free to send me messages.

You need to move on from a urologist to a comprehensive cancer treatment group.

I have had good treatment from MOH (Maryland Oncology Hematology) as well as getting a second opinion from JHU (John Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center). If you are in Baltimore, JHU is considered one of the best in the country. I am not in Baltimore so it is a long trip for me.

Not what you're looking for?
