I sometimes find I like to paint a few pictures of a scene, trying to catch various moods associated with it. This is my latest: Fingal's Cave III.
For the vertical striping of the columns of basalt I used white gesso -- and entirely new medium for me -- and painted over the striped brushstrokes using watercolour.
For a hanging garden of moss I used acrylic ink that I allowed to dry a little before washing off the undried parts with running water.
I hope you enjoy it and promise I will paint a different subject next time.

I love your work brother. This one seems to invoke ( in me ) very much of a “ human “ presence. Abstract mouth with teeth, thumbnail /. fingernail, vagina …, insect man playing flute and much more. Your technique, color palette and vision impressive , imho you’ve got some serious talent showing buddy.
Now now gentlemen. Each is welcome to their own opinion. It will not detract from the therapeutic value of my paintings to me. It is that value that is most needed right now, as I await news from my latest scan and as to whether or not I will this quarter be transitioning to docetaxel and a buying-time strategy. It is good to know that everybody gets something from my works, in whatever way.
J-o-h-n loves your work too … but he loves to be the chief group funny ( well earned , I should say ) curmudgeon , if only a slight one yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.
I really like your work buddy, your obvious command of mixing media is quite impressive. I’m picky but I’d hang your work on my wall.
