NEPC RESEARCH
I watched the recent ASCO meetings on prostate cancer and there was a kinase inhibitor in early phase testing that looked very promising.
that is exactly what happened to mine BUT I would caution that in my case not all of the adenocarcinoma morphed. The NEPC was in the pleura of my left lung and I had massive pleural fluid. They treated it was Carboplatin and Etoposide. Fluid went away and I am left with big pleural lesions which have not changed now in 6 years.
However, my adenocarcinoma has activated and my PSA went from under 5 to 79 now. It is doubling every three months. PSMA PET shows bone mets in my pelvis and spine.
I just lost my wife to dementia in October after a year of being her primary caregiver. I am 82 and I feel pretty good now. I elected to not go ahead with Pluvicto or any more therapy. I can't take another round of side effects. I am going to enjoy what is left of my life and do as much as I physically can while enjoying my kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
