Treated at OSHU in Ptld Or. See my bio. Very happy with my Radiation Cancer Dr., Dr.Hung, he is super!
Dr. Vulky was my Onocolgist, but she has left. Now with new Dr., very happy with them also.
On YouTube, watch all the videos from the Prostate Cancer Research Institute, super good info!
Good luck, do your research!
Husband was treated at VA Portland Medical Center by Dr Julie Graff who is also in research, she is wonderful. Very communicative and listened to my questions and concerns. Even though my husband is now in hospice she still stays in touch via Zoom calls. VA and OHSU share docs so she’s available through that medical facility also.
I saw Dr. Graff for a second opinion and I was extremely impressed by her manner and thouroughness. Some members of my team still refer to her report.
I’m on Providence Medicare Advantage. My MO is Dr Brendan Curti. He’s excellent. I have used him as my ‘Switzerland’ because I needed counsel on options—RP or radiation. He listens, explains and empathizes.
I eventually chose radiation therapy and ADT. My ROs are excellent. Dr Bader, who did my brachytherapy, and Dr Amar Srivastava, who led on EBRT.
Just finished my EBRT and will be on ADT through July. First, PSA result was 0.02. Will get second test in April.
I have also heard good things about Dr Graff, if you qualify for VA care. Another recommendation is Dr Alexandra Sokolova at OHSU Knight Cancer Center.
