Cuddling Up After Pluvicto Treatment

The safer way to cuddle up when you are radioactive. Radiation is about the same at one foot as at 6 feet without the lead :)

Very nice! Where did you get that lead? I just kept my distance until a Geiger counter read 2x the background and then figured it was safe to go back to sleeping with my wife.

I have been collecting "stuff" for over 50 years so of course I have a bunch of lead flashing. I think I bought it at a swap meet. It is probably illegal to get now or you might need to file a hazardous substance report in triplicate and pay a huge fee :) I used it for flashing on my metal roof at the time. I am not sure but i think that lead aprons are sort of like quilts with lead shot held in pockets so that the thickness is consistent. I might consider making something like this for fun. I tried the lead under my quilt last night and it was not very comfortable. I have too much time and need more projects?

Well worth the effort for the cuddling. Love my puppies.

Aren’t we lucky to have such devoted companions? Our dog just didn’t understand why she wasn’t getting her required snuggles :). She acted like her feelings were hurt, but she doesn’t hold a grudge, so she had it made up to her after the first few days.

Nope. Radiation decreases at the square of the distance. 6 ft instead of 1 is 1/36. Still Pluvicto is insignificant radiation after 3 days. Most is gone via urine.

I might have said something confusing. I know that radiation decreases as the square of the distance. Twice the distance 1/4 the radiation. This is simply because radiation is emitted unidirectionally. In reference to my measurement I said that the radiation level at one foot with the sheet of lead between me and the meter was the same as it was at 6 feet without the lead. Probably a confusing way to describe it. The reason I stated it this way was to suggest that with the lead my dog could get one foot away and have the same exposure as at 6 feet which was how far they said I had to stay away from other people.
