Okay I think we all like movies. However there are a few that you would rather watch especially before movies on demand. We also like quotes and soundtracks from them. But for this QoL hubby picked his favorites (I limited him to two, don’t want to go OVERBOARD)😆.
There’s a little more to these movies for him too- besides liking the movie he has good memories. (Sorry about the picture placement)
The first one is TWISTER. Every time this on comes on the first words out of his mouth- we got cows. He likes this movie so much he made sure we went to the “Twister...Ride it Out” at Universal Studios.
The second one is TOMBSTONE (the one with Val Kilmer). There’s more than a few quotes he likes from the movie but he also was on a writing board “role playing “ DOC HOLIDAY.
Oh gosh, I burst out laughing. My ex LOVEDTwisterand after 20 times, I came to agree. It is a silly movie to love, but hey! love is love. I think repetition is key to that one.
I love Mon Oncle a very old French delight (also called My Uncle). More in the sweet genre. Writing from a visit w 3 grandchildren in Finland-> QoL big time, despite the weather now!
I like Midnight Cowboy. Ratso Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) when at a big party is caught stealing cold cuts from a buffet and the host says “the food is free. You don’t have to steal it” Ratso responds “well, if it’s free, I’m not stealing it” as he continues to load up his pockets.
Cannery Row (1982). Words of Steinbeck, narrated by John Huston. Debra Winger as an incompetent prostitute and Nick Nolte as a failed marine biologist/baseball pitcher. Music perfectly melded to the action. Many of the scenes are too funny for words.
You will notice the QOL (quality of life) letters. The folks here add this notation to any posts they wish to share that aren't specific to dealing with PCa. You can ignore these if you wish. Many find these encouraging and refreshing in light of the hard journey we are all on.
Hi, I see that you have only recently joined the community. I too was confused about QoL posts. After I watched and read more here I understood the need of these posts. It helps bind us together and also relieves a little bit of the stress we are all under. Feel free to continue chatting with us. That way we can understand what you’re going through too.

I guess you forgot when you were the change master at the front door... changing $10.00 dollar bills for four $2.00 bills. I quickly used mine up, got any left? Their collector's items now..... Oh what the Hammer doesn't know .... poor woman....(or maybe it's better that she doesn't know.... I won't tell, but I do want that $2.00 "interest" you kept for yourself).......
Oh … sorry but you’ll have to see “ the hammer “ about any cash flow. She doesn’t allow me to have money any more, I keep buying “ Pokémon “ cards and live lobsters from the Asian market …. when I get any.
She’ll be right over as soon as she gets loaded ( not booze, guns - bullets yayay yayayay ).
If you get any money from her ( extremely unlikely), you have to split it with me 50-50 for referrals.
What I'm about to write should be kept secret forever between us. Pinky swear? Ok I'll accept a facsimile of your pinky....but let go of my pinky.....Here goes:
Hammer sent me a Morse code telegraph transmission (we know you can read those dots and dashes so she keyed them in Greek) where she asked me to sort of fix the brakes on you "pink go cart".... Get the picture yet? FIX MAN fix-em!!! Based on how good a job I do on your brakes she will turn over all your Pokemon cards to me. As far as your lobsters or crabs are concerned, I'll take the lobsters but I have my own crabs and don't need yours. She finally left me with this one question "Would I know which is the best tanning lotion to be used in Acapulco? " I refused to answer that question cause I don't want any hanky panky going on behind your back. One more thing she said she didn't want to pinky swear, but since her wish involved your brakes she preferred to have a middle finger swear. What did she mean by that? Aw never mind.....I think I figured it out.
yayahahahaya yayahahahaya she doesn’t need your help buddy .. she’s put me in the E.R. three times . Don’t forget this is , like you said, a secret buddy. 😂😂😂😂
I’m your huckleberry.😄😄😄 Got several favorites and Tombstone is one. Others would be Top Gun, Top Gun Maverick, Hollywood Knights and American Graffiti.
Well...this is a fun post! Now we'll have to watch Twister again. It's been years! My husband's favorite is Pulp Fiction. I have to admit that dance scene with John Travolta and Uma Thurman still gets me. Mine is Christmas Vacation. I watch it every year while decorating my tree. Which I'll be doing next week. Crazy, I know. But we love our tree and look forward to seeing it every year. We get an ornament whenever we travel, so there's a lot of fun memories there.

We got tired of decorating and Undecorating our Christmas tree every year, so after the holiday (around January 8th) we place it in the refrigerator next to the snowman.....
To be frank, it is tough finding the cream cheese sometimes....but generally it's near the lawn hollow plastic reindeers (you know the ones that keep blowing over).
Anyway let me be the first to wish you and the ex-boss a Merry Christmas....

2. Hombre: Hombre is an end of an era western with a subtle political message about discrimination. The supporting actors and actresses play their roles splendidly.
