My dad started Nubeqa on May 11th as part of his triplet therapy. He noticed that he’s been getting headaches when he takes the pills. Some days the headache is more pronounced than others. I was wondering if others experienced this as well when taking Nubeqa?

When he was in the hospital it was a bit low so his MO stopped his blood pressure medication until further notice. He told us to monitor at home for a few days. It was 139/43 on Sunday and and 148/84 yesterday (day of major headache). Is there any correlation? I did try to search high blood pressure and headache but didn't find much.
I have been on nubeqa for one year and no headaches. Nubeqa doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier.
You mentioned he is taking calcium with D3 in his bio. There is some caution with calcium supplements with PCa. Search this site for calcium and read up on those posts.
Another thing is if your not taking k2 with calcium your calcium is not being absorbed from your blood to your bones. It can build up in your arteries and possibly causing high blood pressure. Just be careful with supplements. You must research on these posts on supplements. There are amazingly smart and experienced warriors on that subject.
oh one more thing is it’s summer time lots of sun so if he is getting outside in the sun he can stop taking D3. Also I would advise taking supplements like D3 without measuring you levels to see if it is necessary. Pretty much it is necessary in spring fall and winter. A natural source of D is mushrooms . Here is a link on that subject.
Yes I experienced headaches with nausea the entire time I was on darolutamide. No one really had an explanation for its etiology particularly because even though it does cross the blood brain barrier it is a small percentage as say compared to enzalutimide. I tried various migraine medications where Imitrex was the most effective albeit inconsistently. It was part of my treatment along with Lupron and I was castration resistant. If they persist or worsen in intensity you may want to consult a headache specialist or neurologist. Best to you.
Ask the doctor for blood tests for vitamins including D, check blood pressure before and after taking Nubeqa.I have been on Nubeqa two years this month with no headaches but also Losartan for BP and Eloquis for blood clot in my rt leg. See my bio for more.
