Hi all,
I’m on ADT for Pca and got lectured by everyone in a white coat about the importance of resistance training.
I was doing fine at the gym until a bladder cancer reappeared. Combined with a bad case of radiation cystitis, I’ve had to have a bladder catheter in for a few months.
Found it impossible to do gym work, and was worried about not exercising.
A physiotherapist convinced me to try a $20 set of Progressive Resistance Tubes. (It’s a rubber stretch tube with a handle at each end).
I always thought they were a bit of a con, but the physio showed me how to use them properly.
They’re fantastic. You can get a complete work out at home.
I’m an Aussie and got them from a cheap dept store, Kmart. Don’t know what the US equivalent would be.
Just thought I’d mention it for anyone with no access to a gym or who might find gym monthly cost a bit of a challenge.
P S there are some great YouTube vids explaining how to do the exercises correctly.
I hope someone finds this useful.
Cheers, Anthony
