I have just googled many research articles related to subraclavicular lymph node/virchow’s node/Cervical lymph nodes and prostate cancer. I was surprised that left supraclavicular lymph node is a special location regarding to prostate cancer and there are reasearch articles of it. It is also very rare kind of metastase of prostate cancer. My dad has newly diagnosed prostate cancer with lymph node metastases (clear bone scan) and I didn’t”t have any idea that a metastase of left clavilurar lymph node is so rare.
Do you have any own experience of supraclavicular lymph node involvment or some other special information of this issue?

The lymph from the pelvis, abdomen etc, enters the blood circulation through the thoracic lymph duct which connects with the left subclavian vein. A node at that level most probable indicates the cancer has reached the venous blood circulation and it could end anywhere in the body.
I had a supraclavicular lympbh node metastasis detected by PET scan in 2020 and with ADT and using heat it seems to have lost all pain. I have not rescanned so I dont know if it is still there (three years since), but the pain disappeared immediately after hitting it with a hot shower (or was it twice?). it may have gone away due to Lupron, or heat, or both. Anyway it is no longer a concern for me. Actually it was two left lymph nodes. I was confused because they were on MY right neck but the scan described them left. I also eat a lot of lycopene rich foods. I also had similar pains behind/below my left ear.
while in a clinical trial at NIH 4 years ago a PSMA scan picked up activity in the left supraclavicular lymph node and a a node in my abdomen. They biopsied the supraclavicular node but didn’t find cancer. The abdominal node wasn’t accessible for biopsy or targeted radiation and the abdominal metastasis has progressed a bit.
