in order for the informed among us to be able to

Advise They need all the background info including PSA readings now and before, all treatments to date and the results of any imaging.

He will live long if he starts his ADT treatment. At the start of the ADT therapy the prostate cancer is hormone sensitive therefore you need to convince your dad to start testosterone lowering injections as soon as possible and he will hopefully fill great for some time. Definitely longer than 3 months.

I started with Firmagon injections and now after 4 years on ADT alone I didn't have any visible mets on the PSMA PET scan.

I had a cancer in my prostate with SUV max value of 14 and made a decision to radiate my prostate in order to get rid of the CRPC there.

Most important is that they star giving him ADT injections as soon as possible.

I wish you luck with your doctor's.

Seasid, I think if the doctor said he has 3 months to live he is probably castration-resistant and does not respond to chemo any more. However, this patient was in a similar situation but responded very well to Radium223 followed by Lu177 therapy. Now, five years later, the tumor came up with bone mets in his knees. In Melbourne they just started a trial with the Radium223 plus Lu177 combination. frontiersin.org/articles/10...

Exceptional response to Lu177 therapy

Yh chemo has no effect. Additionally radium 223 was stopped due to side effects

You asked "is there any further treatment available? " Yes, Pluvicto or Lu177: novartis.com/uk-en/news/med...

never give in. Stage 4 here 2016. 6 years and counting. If you don’t like what the doctor says get a good oncologist and see what he can do for him. 🙏🙏🙏

Hallo Ten 355

I am coaching 7 cancer patients at the moment with the use of Coartem (Artemether/Lumefantrine combo).

Three weeks ago James Smith from Windhoek couldn't stand on both legs anymore, one leg became lame because of a cancer tumor in his spine. This weekend he went to Henties Bay and caught a fish.

Johan Brits from Strand had multiple lymphoma around the stomach , down in bed. After 6 weeks on Coartem he board a plane for JHB and went for a holiday in Kruger park.

Pieter Coetzee from Windhoek dropped his PSA in 6 weeks from 5.7 to 2.8 with Coartem. He's got PC only in the prostate.

And I can carry on. My email: thinuslandie@hotmail.com. I've got nothing to sell to you, the advice is for free

Kind Regards

Thinus Coetzee

Can you ask for a liquid biopsy? Maybe Olaparib could be useful?

How negligent for ANYONE to give a "time frame' for a life. There are too many factors including will to live, miracles, treatments, and natural remedies that can extend quality of life, and time on this planet. I have a VERY close friend that was given 6 months to live 5 YEARS AGO in June after having chemo, and finally taking herself off of an experimental medication that made her so sick. She is 56. Back to work. Has some long term issues with swelling, and numbness in her legs, but is alive and cancer free DESPITE the medical community telling her "that was all they could do". My father is 87, and has had advanced prostate cancer for 16 years. It's in his bones, lymph nodes, and spine and he is living a VERY full life, golfing, traveling and doing acupuncture, supplements and going to do a new experimental med after ruling out that the other meds are no longer working. Keep your heart and mind positive...no single living human knows how long someone has to live. Period.
