What is the situation with the cancer? No mets, why do you need treatment with ADT?

Currently 70...diagnosed bu-polar at 53. Panic dic says no way...to lupron. Way 5oo many side effects particularly on the depressive side. So...My RO an I have decided on 28 rad treatments alone...and watch very closely. PSMA shows no keys. Organ confined...long lymph involvement. Wish me luck. Go to Mayo tomorrow for the simulation and start rad soon after. Thanks for your concern.Poppy

Firmagon has less side effects than Lupron, but is a monthly injection in fatty tissue of stomach vs 3 mo or 6 mo injection in butt. So much more info needed. You are in good hands at Mayo. Let the professionals guide you here. Mike

What about trying Orgovyx? It’s a pill and if the side effects of depression (or even mania) start then you can stop the daily pill and it will leave your system much sooner than an injection. Just a thought and maybe worth asking your psychiatrist about
