Diagnosed Stage IV Gleason 9 July’21. Hubby is at 11 months on Eligard and 4 months on Xtandi. His PSA went up to 34 at the end of April so oncologist requested new bone scan, ct scan & labs to reassess in 4-6 weeks. Not sure why the scan was very painful this time and it wiped him out as he couldn’t even sit up and needed help from X-ray tech. On the way home he hydrated with a zero Gatorade and felt better but still very exhausted. The results came back with some mixed interval response to therapy compared to 7/29/21 scan which is confusing to both us and the oncologist. There were 21 mets either unchanged, decreased intensity or resolved. There were 4 new mets and 4 previous ones that had increased in size and intensity. Does anyone know why/how this happens? PS-He started Fenbendazole(3 doses per week) in early May.

That isn't unusual that some metastases are still responsive to treatment, while other metastases have evolved resistance.

He is 62 and we’ve been married for almost 39 years. We live in the foothills of San Diego and have raised two wonderful sons that are married and we’re blessed with four grandchildren.
Thank you for your response. Let us hope you both can make it for another almost 39 years. Bless you and the Boss and your two wonderful sons (and wives) and those two beautiful munchkins...San Diego is a beautiful city but I don't know about the foothills.... Anyway keep posting here, you've come to the right place.....
