I've started eating buckwheat groats several days a week based on health benefits. I didn't expect to enjoy the taste and texture as much as I have. They can be eaten with oatmeal or as a breakfast replacement, or they can be used in lieu of rice for lunch and dinner meals. Here's some info about buckwheat that you might find interesting. A healthy food. I prefer oat groats (they made processed oatmeal seem like pablum to me).

I agree, I eat those and organic steel cut gluten free oats as well - slow cook type.
Easy to grow but hard to get the hull off. Good rice replacement.

I keep telling myself to eat groats but never get around to it. I used to eat them regularly with a nutritional yeast gravy, yum.
