POMI-T: any updates on effectiveness?

Does anyone have any current updates on POMI-T and it’s effectiveness? I’ve not seen anything on it on a long time. It’s a product that originated in the U.K.

I had used it for 6 months or more and it didn’t stop my rising psa so I stopped buying it.

I hadn't heard of this supplement before, so I searched for the trial results. Here's a link to a double blind study in men doing watchful waiting or active surveillance. It's from 2014.

Jav, thanks. Enough positive in the RCT to keep me using Pomi-T (now for 18 mos). At 2x daily it is an expensive supp. I take 1x in mornings as I take tumeric and eat cruciferous veggie daily (cold cabbage is a fav. Makes a good wrap also for a sandwich by peeling a layer off the cabbage head. TA says cruciferous veggies are proven in RCT’s to lower tumor burden and drop PSA. “It all works…but nothing works well (cure).Best to you and yours, Mike

All of its ingredients except sulforaphane have no effect in clinical studies.

@ Tall_Allen: thanks for that input on sulforaphane. I eat massive amounts of cruciferous vegetables, anyway, so probably POMI-T is something I can ignore. Thank you!

Just be aware, cooking cruciferous veggies destroys an enzyme that’s needed to create the sulforaphane. So one way to add back that myrosinase is by sprinkling on some mustard powder, and/or eating some raw broccoli/radishes/cole slaw/etc.

The Double Blind Trial tha Jav18 sent has a very positive conclusion. Lack of rising PSA was superior in the Pomi-T group. We must keep in mind that these are all localised PCa, and low grade with only active survellience and Watchful waiting and only 199 men. Would love to see a double blind with APCa Stage 4 patients. In the meantime I will continue w Pomi-T. “It all works…but nothing works well”. Thanks, Mike

Conclusions:This study found a significant short-term, favourable effect on the percentage rise in PSA in men managed with AS and WW following ingestion of this well-tolerated, specific blend of concentrated foods. Its influence on decision-making suggests that this intervention is clinically meaningful, but further trials will evaluate longer term clinical effects, and other makers of disease progression.

I continue to take based on the double blind trial. Difficult to say whether it has slowed progression or not because I have taken post RP. The only supplement that I have taken that coincided with a fall in PSA (from 0.06 to 0.03) was D3. Would be good if they could update but probably won’t happen

As the defendant said at the trial that found him guilty.
