ORGOVYX timing

I am trying to figure out what is the best time of day/night to take orgovyx . I take mine in the morning, but side effects come on quickly, but get less in the afternoon. Wondering if anyone takes it before bed, so side effects are while you sleep (but worry about not getting to sleep

With an effective half life of 25 hours, I would think timing of the dose would not matter once steady state is achieved as the levels won’t fluctuate throughout the dosing interval. My husband takes his first thing in the morning. He has no side effects from it. If you are having immediate effects, could that be from something else you are taking at the same time? What type of side effects are you experiencing that occur shortly after dosing?

Perhaps it is an interaction with another drug you take?

Leebeth, I am only taking a lower dose water pill (Hydrochlorothiazide25 mg). Probably no problem, but will take that pill later. Side effects might not be the right words, maybe it is just the medicine working, a little light headed, and fogy How long has you guy been taking Orgoyvx. Thanks for your interest, Scott

My husband switched from degarelix to Orgovyx in August, for convenience so he didn’t have to go in monthly. We definitely prefer a GnRH antagonist to an agonist. He has tolerated the change well, never missed a dose, and his testosterone remains <7, so it’s doing the job. I suspect the effects you are feeling is the HCTZ and temporary fluctuations in fluids and electrolytes. 25 mg is not the smallest dose, and could have some side effects.

Best of luck to you!

I take it at night, after dinner, before bed. Side effects have nothing to do with timing, but with the levels of Testosterone in your body (or lack thereof)... Take it any time that works for you, with or without food, etc.

Best Regards

Over a year now, +6months ADT. No effect upon sleep. Some weird flatulence, especially while sleeping my wife tells me, hahaha.

Yeah, there's some fogginess going on. But not too sure how much might be related to the fact that I've decided to retire (57yrs old), and the release of stress, and lack of daily mind bending necessities not being required, may be the cause of the brain just not being challenged, having a vacation so to say. Lmao! Short term memory for the most part, but nothing that's scared me. I'll worry if I forget where home is! Otherwise, I'll just start to use lists and reminders on my phone if need be. And I don't feel it's troublesome at all (yet).

Fatigue is there too, not too bad, but more a stamina issue now. Can do things, but not for as long as I would like. Seem to be coming around, but I will be working on this as the warm weather gains a foothold here in the Northeast!

That's about it, that I can think of for now.

Best Regards

Where do you buy it? How much does it cost?

Check out the Orgovyx website or call 1-800-674-6899. They have a pretty good program based on your income, so right now I am not paying anything out of pocket. If you do not qualify it is going to depend on your insurance.

Commercially you can get it from Bioservices or Biologics specialty pharmacies, not sure if you can get it elsewhere.
