Comparing Testosterone levels from different labs

is there ANY way to compare testosterone test results from 2 different labs? or in this case 3 labs? MD Anderson and our local hospital use different ranges for "normal"; sometimes for early app't. at MDA hubby gets bloodwork locally so we don't have to be there (hour drive) real early. this last test was ordered by RO at UF Health and local hospital sent it off to Quest in Chantilly VA because they don't do Free T here. So both total and Free were done there

MDA normal range: 168.0 to 746.0 ng/l

Local hospital Normal: 72.0 to 623.0 ng/l

Virgina (Quest): 250.0 to 1100.0 ng/l

the ranges are all over the place!! Wish labs would be required to use a standardized range and test method.

searched and searched internet for way to compare but no luck.

Thanks for any help

The normal range is just the lab picking up averages from some source - it is just for information purposes. Only his actual measured T level matters.

No need. Just ignore "normal range."

Really error-prone to try to compare different labs, different dates, different types of testing and different reagents.

thanks but only comparing apples to apples EXCEPT for the different labs --IF I could figure out how to insert my chart you could see what I mean--thanks again
