Just finished with PMSA scan. psa went from 1.58 to 3.03 in 60 days. A node is showing new activity. Plus seminal activity has increased since last scan. No reccuance of 2 sites in bones since proton Theapy a year ago. Was on Xtandi but the SE were terrible my wife diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she is being treated at Vanderbilt 4 hours away. I could not drive that far while on the drug. Also had several falls. Just looking for help on what’s next

Maybe you'll have fewer SEs from Zytiga.

Enza is known to promote falls. It can be dangerous. I am only firmagon but already had 2 falls. Mainly related to my weekend muscle. I have to focus when I am going down the stairs. Can you try chemotherapy maybe just 2 to 4 cycles (depending from side effects) you can do it with the weekly cycle and not the 3 weekly cycle if required) and continue with Abiraterone plus prednisolone or Enzalutamide. Even if the scans don't show anything you could have micrometastases. I am not a doctor but I would check with the oncologist if you could do chemotherapy. You can always stop it at any time. Weekly cycles are milder. If may work for you.

Wow Bobcat! Both diagnosis’. You are a very tough place in life. You MUST put out a request for all family and friends. People want to help. It gives them purpose. In your early 80’s, I cannot imagine the energy required. You can get through this, but it will require a tightly organized calendar, with food, transportation, housing assisted by everyone. Take it one step, one day, one week at a time.

Meditate on making good decisions each day. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.

The Medical answers will come as you go. One decision at a time.

Best of Luck Brother,

Mike

Not a Dr …….. Did you try taking half dose (2 pills) of Xtandi? Some here say that might still help you while reducing side effects.

Not what you're looking for?
