My awesome MO saved a life on an airplane

The video ran before the Super Bowl yesterday, Dr. Vora and other MDs saved a women's life en route to LA.

He saved mine by allowing me to have nine more Taxotere sessions in 2015 over the 6 from the CHAARTED study.

So why did you and he decide to do 9 extra Taxotere infusions. I love to hear successfulStories involving thinking out of the box. The key is understanding what the thinking was and why you believe it worked. Thx dockham for sharing and glad it worked well.

Hi, he spoke to his Tumor Board and queried his colleagues about what to do in my case. I tolerated the chemos well, still worked and did marathons.PSA at Dx was 840.2 in 01/2015 and in 06/2015 down to 10.8. No others said to add more chemos, so he told me on his own that he'd give me more chemos until I told him to stop or the numbers plateaued. PSA got to 0.7 at the end of 2015 with a nadir in 2017 at 0.1.

A total of 15 Taxotere sessions in 2015, 6 more last year, and #5 Cabazitaxel this Friday

Great hearing about this and about a doctor who thought outside-the-box. I also watched, enjoyed and was touched by the Super Bowl airplane video. Thanks for sharing!

I think you need a new t Shirt with "Thriver" instead of "Survivor".

Actually that's seriously good for many as well. You might want to patent that idea.

Yes indeed! Sir Dockam Survivesir. A true warrior. My ass was dragging pretty hard after 6 chemo's. I might have been able to go to 10 but I kind of doubt it.

15? WOW. Plus all the additional chemo in the subsequent years. And Marathons. Actually it blows my mind. His cardio system could give life to a city I bet.
