Any Brothers from the Spokane WA area?? A friend is new to all of this and he was scheduled for an RP for Tuesday, not sure where. Long story short is the high Covid patients load has pushed his surgery back to an unscheduled date as of now. I suggested he look for a Cancer hospital. Does anyone know of a place where he may be able to schedule his surgery near the Spokane area?

I search the list of NCI Designated Cancer Centers here, cancer.gov/research/infrast...

The closest one I could find is Fred Hutchison /University of Washington in Seattle.

I know someone who had curative radiation in Spokane. Why does it have to be surgery?

I guess that is the decision he and his doctor made, thanks

Prostatectomy (even robotic) is a tricky surgery that takes a lot of experience to do well. Since there are no highly-experienced prostatectomy surgeons (Ideally, over 1,000, but at least several hundred) in that area, you might discuss with him traveling elsewhere for the surgery or changing his treatment decision.

I had Na-Fl18 scan at Providence and Radiation Treatment at Northern Idaho urology in Post Falls. Kootnai Cancer center in Court d'Alene has full service. Both are close to Spokane.
