Contrast fluid/dye

My father is doing a bone scintigraphy and CT-scan for thorax and abdomen. His prostate was removed in 2017. Is there anything to think about in regard to contrast fluid/dye (what is the correct English term)? My father mentioned that one kind could be harmfull when the prostate is removed. Perhaps gallium? Thankful for any insights.

They use iodine for CT. Not harmful unless allergic. Creatinine tests for adequate kidney function.

Try to get a PSMA PET/CT. They do not usually use contrast with the CT and the detection rate for mets is significantly higher than a bone scan and a CT scan. Iodine contrast could affect kidneys and one has to have a creatinine measure before the test.
