I have a 2 cm lession in the left apex approaching extraprostatic extension approaching the NVB and urethral sphincter. I'm considering focal laser therapy with Dr. Walser at UTMB in Galveston, or HDR Brachytherapy with Dr. Chang at UCLA. Risk of ED and incontenence are my greatest concerns. Does anyone have any experience with either method or or either Dr?

Focal laser therapy vs. focal HDR brachytherapy?
Do you have advanced prostate cancer, and is this salvage therapy you are talking about? What kind of primary therapy did you have? Where are your metastases and how many are there? There's nothing in your profile.
I highly recommend Dr. Chang. He did my HDR Brachytherapy with SpaceOar 2 1/2 years ago and I’ve had no SE’s from the procedure at all (see profile for details).
Dr. Albert James Chang by any chance? He was my RadOnc at UCSF in 2013.By the late Spring of 2016 the HDR Brachytherapy was deemed to have failed and UCSF’s Dr. Chang recommended a strong course of radiation. There had been no ED or incontinence.
I however elected to undergo a salvage cryoablation in September 2016 at Houston Methodist with Dr. Michael Lewottin. He warned me in advance that there would be ED and some incontinence.
