Niagen

The US military is testing NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) as a possible life extending, performance enhancing supplement. NAD+ is associated with turning food into energy, and levels in the body decline with age. A commercially available supplement, Niagen, related to Vitamin B-3, is an alleged precursor of NAD+. Is there any reason any of you know of why not to try Niagen to see if it boosts energy?

Thanks. Hoped you would weigh in on this. Lack of energy is a chronic problem among most of us, so I thought a try had nothing to lose, unless there was a known biochemical reason to avoid this. Will keep you all posted.
