Radishes: Easy to Grow and Cruciferous Too

Bumper Crop so far this year. For those who enjoy eating radishes the greens are extremely edible. If too bitter for your taste saute them in extra virgin olive oil with garlic and the salt to taste. I cut them up and add them to my salad.

I'm a huge horseradish fan...I will add that to the garden. Is that a cool weather or hot weather crop...I'm also growing beets....love the beets...unfortunately so do the rabbits...but they are coming in strong also.

I started eating the greens last year. This is the first year I'm actually growing my own. But I like raw too.

Yum I eat many kinds of radishes and would always eat the greens if I buy in bundle. I think I will add horseradish to future veggie stews, I already have Burdock Root.

What variety(s) of horseradish are you growing?

Ok. Thanks..

Growing up we would eat horseradish and oyster crackers.

After sautéing onion and garlic I put the radish greens in the pan and wilt them with the cover on to make a base for soup.

What kind of soup? I use them mostly in my smoothies...but I do add them instead of spinach when they are in season as they are now.
