Jane McLelland Protocol

Dear all- circling back around after we found out hubby’s Pca has metastasized to his pelvic bones. He has had a 2nd opinion at MD Anderson in Houston (so glad we went there)! Question- has anyone had experience hiring one of the docs using Jane’s protocol (her website) and androgen blocking therapy? Success stories? Thanks all? Wife Marcy

This topic has been dealt with before...you can search on Jane McLelland. If I could summarize with one word i would choose "nonsense"

I doubt if anyone at MDA recommended Jane McLelland Protocol did they?

No- it wasn’t mentioned at MDA

healthunlocked.com/advanced... awhile ago. Why are you so glad you went to MDA?

acuphealing profile image
acuphealing in reply toGoBucks

The workup was so much more comprehensive and quick from what was occurring in our home area. Also- the oncologist was brilliant- picked up on nuances that no one else did.

Please read the thread I mentioned above. TA has some great thoughts.

Regardless of where you went at the Texas Medical Center. You are in good hands. Why consider anything else?

Thank you for your reply! Yes- excellent care and expertise but we want the BEST possible outcome and believe if we only do conventional- we are missing out on the benefits of ALL ways of health and healing

in reply toacuphealing

If this is what you want, given your background, contact Nalakrats who really has a handle on conventional and naturopath treatment. BTW, you have read that there is no cure for metastatic prostate cancer. Take note that Baylor College of Medicine also in the TMC, has changed it website to read, “..... rarely cured...”

I started at BCM in 2004 with a six month clinical trial. Interesting that the combination of drugs which I took has been go to for metastatic breast cancer...... they say, I am one of the “rarely cured” guinea pig. I was most fortunate and glad as soon as mets developed, I got the obligatory injection of Lupron and immediately started with chemotherapy, etc.

Good luck and I pray that you find what you want. Chose wisely.

MDA is excellent. Let them keep you grounded in the best possible treatments. Jane has her own theory which sounds good to many but it does not hold up in practice. Her premise is wrong. Don’t let it deter you away from proven treatments if you choose to try and add it as an unproven adjunct. After careful consideration, I chose not too.

Thank you for your reply! We felt going to MDA was an excellent choice and we are going to follow their guidance and expertise. We are, also, going to do Jane’s protocol after doing much research and testimonials from valid sources.

Are you another armchair critic who has not read the bloody book?

in reply toTFBUNDY

Why do you insist people read a book that has been debunked many times? Eating well is essential to good living...once a man has advanced pca, eating well will not have an effect on the outcome...only proven treatments will have an impact.

Many men who are members of this site have read the book and have concluded the book is nonsense. Why should I read this book only to come to the same conclusion?

At least you are a self confessed prat. The Jane McClelland book is very interesting, very well researched, and contains some very interesting concepts for those able to take in the information. However my refuse collector said it's shite so it must be shite.... Beam me up Scotty

in reply toTFBUNDY

You're supporting a book about starving cancer and I'm the idiot.

These are strange times we live in.

To all of you who believe it's possible to starve cancer, Good luck with that.

TFBUNDY profile image
TFBUNDY in reply to

Well if you read the bloody thing I will listen to your opinion of it. Until then you have little constructive to say on the subject.

in reply toTFBUNDY

YOU CANNOT STARVE CANCER

You think this author is the first to make this claim....

I don't need to read the Communist manifesto to understand communism is a bad form of government.

Trouble to read it. The title does not define the book. How you can argue from a position of total ignorance says all I need to know about you.

in reply toTFBUNDY

Enjoy O enlightened one.

And double dittos to Herman_psa_ok's post.

I at least learn from others mistakes.

I'm trying to be gentle and "open minded" about your post about Jane's book which I read and refer to once in a while. Not only that, in hindsight I wasted my money for 6 full months with the COC Protocol my PSA got worse and worse and they had no answer nor would they even suggest anything. So, I hate to burst your hopes while the clock is ticking. I'm trying to save you precious time and money.

Everything sounds great in the book, in reality it did little for me but disappoint. Buyers beware! I have yet to meet anyone with positive bottom line results as she claimed for herself. That should be a red flag. God is the only one I know capable of healing and true miracles.

Good God. Now you really have lost me. Just give it a couple of Hail Mary's and the job's done. Or read about the potential of metabolic control and determine if it's going to benefit you. Take your pick and to the dice.

in reply toTFBUNDY

Only if he's Catholic. But for someone who professes some higher intellect, you did read Herman's post very well...he clearly states the book was a bust..better results are in prayer.

UK is in real trouble.

TFBUNDY profile image

I fully respect that Herman has read the McClelland book, which does not profess to be directed to prostate cancer, and for him to state that it was of no direct use to him. I have zero respect for a man who criticises ANY book without having first read it. The UK in trouble? I didn't notice that bit. I must have read the wrong book. We seem to have fewer bigots than many other countries I have visited. Perhaps you have never been here and are speaking from a position of no knowledge whatsoever....

in reply toTFBUNDY

I'm perplexed about your infatuation with respect. As if you having respect for me has any influence on my decisions or choices. I do not need to read this book because the very premise is completely flawed...

I've been to London several times..Great city but don't fool yourself, more than your fair share of bigots.

I suggest you ignore anybody that just says a particular treatment is nonsense, rubbish, BS etc without explaining why and giving references to scientific studies. There have not been any trials of the McLelland Protocol so we don't really know how effective it is. Much of it seems plausible to me but I'm not a doctor or research scientist.

Hello, I'm also a wife of man with prostate cancer that has spread to the pelvic bone.I'm very new to this site and appreciate all i can read.

I have not read the book but I have ordered it. For me, i like to read and learn all I can, then make my own decisions.

I'm sorry I was probably not helpful , but i share in your concerns. I'm hoping to learn as much as I can about this . this is a nasty disease.

Not what you're looking for?
