I'm Stage IV after BCR in 12/19......This morning I experienced total numbness in all 10 fingers. It lasted 2 hours and went away. This has happened a few times since my BCR. Also, I've had the feeling someone is jamming a needle into the ends of both big toes, which also goes away. Should I worry about spinal cord compression?

Have you had any recent treatment changes? Neuropathy is a common side effect of many PC therapies
I've been on Lupron since 2/20, that's it.
At about a year on lupron, the numbness on bottoms of feet started. Slowly increases. Walking daily seems to help minimize it.

Walking is good.🏋🏻♂️
I had neuropathy from chemo. Acupuncture helped me
That’s enough . ✌️
I have not found a consistent answer to this seemingly common issue, 5+4. My advice is to first tell your doctor, but what follows is my experience.
I actually find it comforting to hear about this shared experience in others without my tumor burden (c-spine tumors), since it implies a source not associated with my spine. Most educational resources point to chemo side effects (e.g. see: urmc.rochester.edu/encyclop... , but I personally suspect that it is exacerbated by the various metabolic imbalances related to our treatment.
In any case, all the information I've been able to find points to symptom management, not source management. My feet are especially vulnerable to this condition: I walk, stretch, massage, heat, and electrically stimulate my feet ..or inevitably I am woken up by the pins and needles.
I do experience the transitory numbness in my fingers, as well. Regular massage has helped - I prefer the medical/athletic type massage that is not that soothing, but has longer term results. Keep us posted and good luck! - Joe M.
A great massage would be wonderful. I Haven’t had one in years . 😩
Don’t get one, Scott. The fantasy is better than the (usually disappointing) reality.
No , I don’t think so. I’m sorry that you’ve got this I do too. In recent months my arms go numb from the shoulder down as I sleep ending in total numbness and pain . Makes sleep not fun. My thumbs index and forefingers are becoming number every day . I need to do more upper body exercise in hopes of relief. I’ve had the random electrical type spikes of pains everything from a pin prick to and ice pick. Normally in my joints. The big toes joint is the worst .. This started in imrt and improved but still with me with six years on adt and no t . My unprofessional opinion is that this is from no t imrt and adt .. se la ve . Hang in there dude. Keep movement going.
I experienced similar after completing 18 months ADT . I discussed it with general practice MD who checked my vitamin B levels...and it turned out they were really low. Started taking vitamin B and it seems to have helped. He said that as we age and under some situations we don't absorb vitamin B they way we used too, and the tingling/neuropathy may be a symptom. Have been taking 2 1000mg over the counter per day and it seems to be helping.
