I'm about to run off to my next folfiri infusion, but first a blog post as I try to remember the good day I had on Friday. In other news, I'll be getting a scan on the 21st, which hopefully will show continued improvement. My best reading of my blood tests is that things should be improving, though it's unlikely I'll get the miraculous clear scan I was hoping for.

Remembering a Good Day
Fingers crossed Tom (uncrossed now because I'm typing).
I, too, did the scaring my wife with my imminent death. After she took it seriously I was intent on proving to her that I was going to live 30 more years.
So much of the psyc ups and downs you have really resonates with my wife and myself. I’ll bet it does with a lot of us here that same thing in their lives. You say it so well on your blog. Ok .... so here goes : You pencil neck , exercise flinging ... nub buzzler ... your peanut butter corpuscle crunched blood work and fogged up body scan says you are probably not gonna last til tomorrow night ...right !!?? .................... ????? ............. did that work ? ...... ( over the top or too much ?? ) as per your blog.. you should be raging with upbeat optimism and energy that none of that is true and you’re going nowhere yayahahahaya.
Just say’in. ( proves I read your blog, anyway ) 😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Actually yes, that does help. Around the time you were typing that I did notice a distinct upbeat in my outlook, and now that I read it, I can only say "You don't know nothing, I'm going to live forever or die trying!"
Just throwing out some possible places to BHAG:
Two laps around Walden Pond (Concord) or one around Fresh Pond (Cambridge)
Beaches at low tide . . . outer Cape, Cranes Beach in Ipswich, or Plum Island in Newburyport
Mount Monadnock
The Charles River along The Esplanade or Soldiers Field Road
Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain
A section or sections of the Minuteman Bikeway (Davis Square in Somerville all the way out to Bedford)
Middlesex Fells in Medford
Along the Squamscott River (brackish) in Exeter, NH
Definitely Walden Pond. Also along the Charles river sounds good, 30 or so years ago I went for a run or two there when I was on loan to Draper Labs in Cambridge. Will have to research the other places as I'm less familiar with them.
As for Monadnock, I've been to the top a number of times over the years, starting at a number of different parking areas on each side of the mountain. It's definitely on my bucket list to get there again. But with Covid you actually have to reserve a hike time in advance, so it would work much better for me later in the year if they get rid of that silliness and I can just go when I'm having a good day. It's only a 40 minute drive from my house, so I can literally decide at lunch time and be on the summit by 3pm.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Thanks for the update, Tom. Always look forward to your posts.
Good luck with the scan.
Oh my! You nailed the emotional roller coaster we have been on. When I acknowledge how awful things are, DH decides to count his blessings and everything is all right (for a while). And a day of activity is followed by a day or two of paying the price for it-which sometimes starts the cycle again. It's good to know this might be normal.
Great ideas from farmanerd. Yes miracles happen and may be even everywhere when we pay attention and get out of our heads. Good luck with your scan also.
Good luck, Tom.
Keep plugging along Tom.
If you're in the mood again.... my Honda needs a washing and a wax job..... Or add it to your "bucket and soap" list..... Good days beat bad days any day...
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I do have to be careful washing cars. There's a very high risk I'll kick the bucket before I'm able to rinse the suds off
Lol 😂😂😂 don’t let j-o-h-n fool you, his wife makes him use a mobile detailing service, she doesn’t allow him near a bucket.
You can walk and drive your car now in the same day-great! But can you also chew gum? You described something I am sure a lot of ADT guys have. I work out in the a.m. and felt great. Go to work for 4-5 hours and have a great day. Thinking I'll do that 2 days in a row. Except I sleep 10p.m to 9 a.m and can't think through my brain fog. Thankfully there is always tomorrow. (so far)
