Neuropathy
I was having increasing neuropathy in my feet with Lupron. Increased the amount of time daily walking and it has helped quite a bit.
No idea if it would help after chemo but more walking could be worth a try.
Good luck
Here is a list of drugs and supplements I take for neuropathy in my feet due to a drug that I was on:
Gabapentin 600 mg Prescription
Mirapex .25 mg Prescription
Acetyl L-Carnitine 500 mg (supplement) can be purchased at Savemart)
Leg Cramps by Hyland’s (2 tablets)
I take these at 30 minute intervals in the evening so they don’t interfere with each other
Optional if having difficultly sleeping:
Zyflamend one capsule (Supplement) can be purchased at Savemart
MidNite 2 tablets (Melatonin)
CBD oil (2 drops)
This sounds good to me.. i started taking LYRICA 75 Mg . Twice per day
This is Prescription
I am also taking PREDNISONE 5 mg.. 2 twice per Day
PERIDOXINE 2 twice per Day
I got acupuncture after Taxotere and it seemed to work for me
I started after the chemo was done, but in retrospect starting when the problems were first noticed would probably of been good. It took me awhile to hear that acupuncture might help. Tried some supplements and other recommendations first (didn’t work). I had not done acupuncture before and was hesitant, but I think it works- my feet feel back to almost normal. There is also a PT form of acupuncture what uses electric stimulation through the needles that might be a another thing to look into - good luck
We use Lions Mane. It is very similiar to lyrica and gabapentin but without the dangerous side effects. Many with MS use it. It is a mushroom supplement. We started using it after Bill developed problems in his leg ( pain, falling) a year after radiation. It was discovered that the mylion sheath had worn away from it. Doc didn’t want to start him on gabapentin, but did. Bill quit it within a couple of weeks due to feeling horrible on it. Plus it can be addictive, cause suicidal thoughts. I started searching and found this. It is a mushroom supplement that helps the neurons in the brain similiar to the gabapentin, ( I also put white mushroom powder, Chaga powder and a mixed mushroom powder in his plant based protein smoothie every day). He did have have some initial prednisone like infusions so oral prednisone could possibly help. Look into an anti inflammatory diet. Many with MS follow that as they deal with neuropathy issues all the time.
