I am curious whether your doctors specialize in prostate cancer or treat all kinds of cancer. My doctor does not seem up to date, and I notice he treats all kinds. Thanks!

Question about Doctors
My oncologist treats prostate, bladder, testicular and penile cancers. She did however serve her fellowship under an oncologist who treated only prostate cancer.
It's best to have a medical oncologist who specializes in urologic oncology.
The best option is to have a MO who treats only prostate cancer. This could be difficult to obtain. This may be possible if one lives close to a major comprehensive cancer center, such as as the Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dana Farber, MD Anderson, UCSF etc.
The second best options is a MO specialized in urological cancers.
One can combine a local MO specialized in urological cancers with periodical consultations with an oncologist treating prostate cancer only.
Most local oncologist are OK with this type of consultations. These consultations have been made easier and cheaper with the expansion of video visits due to the pandemic.

Is that why you sleep with your ankles behind your ears 👂??When you said you got your foot caught getting out of the styrupes, I thought you went horse back 🐎 riding.
There aren't any horses in New York City - except for the riot police. Most places just have vicious dogs now. I've been practicing throwing cats. I'm getting pretty good at it.
Make sure they're live cats.........Dead ones are good for eating..........

I'm trying to get a Smart Bulb to work. I could use about a half dozen Polish people right now.
Make sure there is power.
1. Wet finger and place in socket.
2. Have wife turn switch to on.
A nice couples project.
Which finger?

I remember the ugo autos. They did look like a tit. So, ex-wife is on ice? You got an extra large freezer? No steaks for me. Thanks anyway. Eating the evidence, what a great idea. Or do I detect perversion?
Nope........ It's just that Jeffrey Dahmer was my mentor and idol.....

Since diagnosed with Prostate cancer this is my third doctor. The first one went through the early diagnosis, ruling out protetitus, the early tests, and prostectomy. At that time we thought it was cured. Then 2 years later it popped its head back up. He was a urinary doctor. He retired during my remission.
My second doctor was a encologist specializing in prostate cancer. I had radiation and it was determined that the cancer had gotten out, so to speak. It was determined to wait a while to start hormone therapy which I did a year ago with good results.
Then he was co opted because of his seniority to the covid task force in our city, and I was turned over to his nurse so to speak, who knew very little about treatments. She knew very little and insisted on my continuing the same treatment, without even talking to a doctor and him hearing how these first treatments went.
I went to my general practitioner, telling him I fired my doctor and who's next. He introduced me to my Curran doctor. He is an encologist specializing in prostate cancer. He has a good bedside manor, but sometimes I feel he may be a bit behind on things. However it is hard to keep up on everything happening out there, and I keep my ear to the ground for up coming treatments and studies. I have a game plan, and treatments are going well, and this guy is responsive to my needs, and knowledgeable.
What I'm saying is, don't just sit tight and let things pass you by. Keep up with things, and be sure their staff is doing things right with you. Everyone in the medical field is way stressed right now, so cut them slack, but keep alert they are doing right by you. Its your body, and your fight. Find someone you're comfortable with all around. And understand that this cancer is a mystery in many ways and they are working to find the answers.
I for one trust myself to my lord and savior over all. I pray you are as well. God bless you in your journey.
Mine is a general oncologist. I've seen PCa oncologists at Mayo, Moffitt, and Shands and have not been more impressed. My local guy here in Daytona seems generally up on most developments but very conservative about adopting new things quickly.
He has given me the green light to find someone better, but as I told him several times after looking around, he's the devil I know and they're-well, you know.
Im planning to take another look when I joined Medicare June 1, but someone will have the burden of convincing me.
My MO is a general one also. He's actually my second. The first one retired 2 months into treatment. At this early stage I don't think a specialist in pca is required. I'm on the latest treatment and doing well.
If and when I progress. I'll begin searching for a specialist.
Daytona, never been there but want to visit. When is the best time outside the 500?
Anytime. Colder this winter but winter generally mild but not Miami-mild. Summers very tolerable on the beach because of winds, but more crowded. Fairly long and mild spring and fall. After Feb but before Memorial Day and outside of spring break are good time.
Mine is a prostate oncologist , and a well renowned specialist at that. I consider myself very lucky. He's also an excellent person, with patience and empathy
My oncologist treats all cancers, apparently. I notice that her eyes often check out my breasts.
There is a funny response and I'll let j-o-h-n have first crack.
I knew you guys were smoking crack.
Breasts? Did you say Breasts? Is she still interested in a breast contest? Sizing or Jumping? Hardness or Softness? "Nipple ring or Bare? "Sensitive or Bland?" "Wet or Dry?" Let me know....ASAP....

I'm personally only interested in chicken breasts. Many years ago, I noticed everyone at work was in the conference room. They were watching a film with people having sex with animals. I lasted 5 minutes. I saw that covid was probably spread when a Chinese Medical Tech was bitten by a bat, through his glove. So, people, don't mess with bats, rats or monkeys. And don't buy Chinese gloves.
Thanks for the tip. No Chinese gloves, no bats, rats or monkeys. Are sheep still game?

My onco treats other cancers but also has a degree in cancer research. He was on top of it when Keytruda was approved for prostate cancer and had my path slides tested immediately. I was lucky that I qualified and am still on Keytruda. He is also very open minded and listens. He wasn’t aware that Keytruda had been approved like Opdivo for double dosing when I told him. I hadn’t even gotten my IV yet that day and he came back in the treatment area and had found out that it had been approved. Next time we’ll give you the double dose since they already have your single dose ready for this time he told me. He listens to everything.
My doctor is an internal medicine doctor. He treats PCa patients. He worked for Dr Robert Atkins who had a natural cancer treatment clinic in NYC. His knowledge comes from that excellent experience. He has treated me successfully since 2004.He is not an oncologist, urologist or radiologist. He has saved my life.
The doctor who is treating my MCRPCa is a urologic oncologist.
If your in NEW Jersey and not the island, see Dr. Wise at NYU. He is a Prostate only oncologist working with world class oncologists...
