We started it in July, cant say if anything is helping, as the PSA is still on the rise. We have a lovely dr here in the UK who we speak with, she supplies the prescription and contacts the Chemist . We pay and he drugs get delivered to our door. Will stay with it for a year to see if it helps ? Anything is worth a try

Husband is stage 4 metastatic. Had chemo currently on Bicalutimide and Lupron.

Thanks for the info. Any info on the approximate cost of treatment would be helpful. I am sure my insurance here in the US will not cover it

I think for a year, the drugs and doctor consultations total about $2000 ($US). I checked into it but have not yet used.

My cost for the initial COC setup (blood labs/scans/etc. docs) and the hour long Zoom consult with my assigned doctor was $800.00 USD first time for my three month COC cycle. You are dealing with a three month commitment. That $800 price/payment includes as needed access to my assigned COC oncology nurse support person via phone or email. I used it once so by zoom meeting and two email exchanges so far and she was excellent and very imformative/helpful. I had specific questions on my diet and other supplement interactions.

Note! I just paid only $295.00 (not $800) for my 2nd COC protocol cycle which starts January 2021 which includes my next doctor Zoom consult with the same assigned doctor. The cost for the doctor consult is cheaper the following time and it should/may not take as long for my consult this time around. I just had my blood labs done yesterday and I should know my bio-markers changes. That payment also includes assess to my assigned COC oncology nurse support person for the next few months.

Now, once you have your first Zoom consult with your COC doctor and they get to know you and answer your questions/concerns, they will prescribe the actual COC prescription drugs (specific to you) and you then contact their compound pharmacy to setup your account and delivery preferences. You can receive your meds via UPS for $5.00/flat rate delivery from 3-7 business days. I chose the express FedEx and cost me $15.00 which I was ok with. My 3-months worth of meds plus deliver was a total of

$186.00.

So, my first three months COC Protocol total expenses were: $800 consult+$186.00 COC meds = Total $986.00

All out of pocket since Medicare won't pay for this non-standard SOC at all AND I did not need those meds for my health status other than advance PCa.

In closing, the 2nd time around it looks like my total COC Protocol cost with the express delivery will be: $295 consult+$186.00 COC meds = Total $481.00.

With an annual projected cost of approx. $2,429.00 or so. Since, I don't have my most recent blood lab results as of this writing, I can't comment on bottom line PSA & liver results or overall perspective. I will say that side-effects have been suprisingly minimal as cramp stomach once. But, I have loss some belly fat and lost about 8lbs. in the past two months from 245lb down to 237lb for my 6' 1" height.

Not much has been written about the COC protocol on forums I've read. I did have a friend who tried it and endorsed it and his two friends with PCa are on it and saw their PSA drop. That's what prompted me to read Jane McLelland How to Starve Cancer book and look into her McLelland Metro Map concept and find out for myself.

I'll let you folks know if it's bull or not. Want to converse, email me. I hope this helps some of you considering SOC alternatives. Respectfully, I'm not selling anything and I'm not a doctor. You're a big boy and need to take responsibility for your medical decisions.

We paid £100 for first telephone consultation (one hour) then £50 there after. We have the 4 COC off label drugs , 3 months at a time and cost isaround £100. So £33 per month. As I said before, not sure if it IS helping, but gonna stick with it for a while.

Well I suppose we will never know if they are helping or not ! Husband started on Zytiga in Dec, which has brought his psa down slowly, everything else is stable, so we will continue with it at this present time.

Did you start it ?

Hi. I went to their Harley Street clinic a couple of years ago. EVERYONE has the same. Doxycycline 100mg one month alternated with mebendazole one month and Metformin and atorvastatin. If you buy these at the best international prices you've cracked it. It's not prostate specific. Doxycycline is a zinc ionophore among other activity and I think it it's benefit can't be overrated. Zinc at 50mg/ day can be PCa cytotoxic if you can get it into the cell. Low dose Doxy (20mg), Quercitin, EGCG, and if you can get it, a quinine derivative are all zinc ionophores. Low dose Doxy preserves gut bacteria and prevents bacterial resistance, apparently. Thanks to Prof Les Costello for his papers on zinc and prostate cancer. Cheers All...

Are you following this treatment? -What about results?

I also am very much interested in following a treatment based on the studies of Drs. Leslie Costello and Franklin.

The truth is that none of us know that what we are doing is helping or not. You read, you try to understand the underlying principals, and then take a punt. The disease is long slow and vicious, and sometimes it's up and sometimes it's down. Is it because of the stuff I push down my throat? Who knows, but it makes me feel better to be putting in a few punches, even if the odds are stacked. My last PSA was 40% down after zinc, antibiotics, Quercitin, and who knows what else...

I was on the COC program for about 14 months, from 7/19-9/20. Took a break when I had IRE treatment a few months ago(needed a break from all expenses for a few months). Will be resuming. Was diagnosed 10/18 with gleason 7 extra capsular extension present, upgraded by MSK NY as gleason 9 intraductal 2 months later. Decided against surgery or radiation as initial treatment. Made extreme changes to diet and began adding evolving supplementation regimen after DX. MRI's showed steady growth of tumor with almost a 30% increase between scan 9/19 and 1/20. Pandemic delayed treatment. Changed some things, no change in tumor size between 1/20 and 8/20. It's very possible that COC's repurposed drugs have been helpful. Cost of COC similar to those outlined by Herman_PSA_OK.
