Advances in radiotherapy for prostate cancer in the last 10 years.... Can someone address just what these advances with regard to side effects and increased cure rates.

Hypofractionation has been increasingly adopted. The really big changes occurred at around the turn of the century with dose escalation and IMRT/IGRT. Also, there's much better guidance on the use of adjuvant ADT. Why do you ask?

Is hypofractionation used for salvage radiation after RP?

Experimentally, yes. It is recommended during the pandemic.

STEVE I HAD 38 SESSIONS OF RADIATION AND NEVER GOT SICK OR ANYTHING SIMILAR TO THAT AND I WAS ABLE TO WORK THRU MY COMPANY , SO ABOUT THE LAST TWO SESSIONS IT SHOWED UP AS BURNS A BIT ON MY BACK SIDE

Ditto except for left urinary tract got burned (showed up later)....

Proton Therapy (75 Gy to Prostate, smaller amounts to seminal vesicles and pelvic lymph nodes) given over 28 visits. Last couple days had to add in flomax (started having issues urinating) as well as an occasional enema (pretty bad constipation). I have 2 nice “roast beefy” looking burns (no pain) where the lateral treatments went into my body. No noticeable external marks on my back...
