Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share. Wondering if anyone knows more about this? So many promising trials. One day, one of these is going to be the answer. globenewswire.com/news-rele...

PSCA phase one trial
There are several trials with CAR-T Cells treatments.

These treatments have the potential of curing some hematological cancers and their use has extended to solid tumors. Adverse effects should be considered carefully before having this type of therapy.

Thank you for your reply tango. My brother is not interested in the PSCA yet and there sure are some difficult side effects. I have heard of PSMA but haven’t heard of PSCA. Three of those clinical trials are for PS MA. Two are for PSCA including the city of hope in California trials. Just one more thing to keep me busy reading!

My husband participated in this trial, it did not work for him. He passed away 4 months later, we believe it accelerated his death. His PSA was 18 when he started the trial and did not have other health issues, except the cancer with metastasis in the lymph nodes. He had to stop all treatments in order to participate in this trial. The tumors started growing out of control in the middle of the trial. He was the ideal candidate, he was active, was exercising and doing regular activities. I wish we would have waited. I miss him every day. He was a wonderful man, full of life and we had so many dreams about our future. Please be careful and do more research before you start any of these trials. After the doctors said that his tumors had taken over and recommended hospice, I found an article about how the cytokines released during Car-t treatments fed the cancer and caused mutations in many patients.
Thank you mgzs for your reply. First of all, I am so so sorry to hear about your husband. It is heartbreaking. When people hear prostate cancer, they think oh, that’s not a bad one. That’s and older man’s cancer and they usually die from something else. So not true. The side effects of meds, the lack of energy and testosterone, it’s awful. It pushes men to go into these risky trials. My brother said he would rather take a chance than to wither away with SOC. so, he has begun the trial search. Fortunately, the PSCA is not the one he’s going to do. He’s going to do the ARV/110 at mass general in Boston. He has started the process. We have an amazing doctor from Dana-Farber who calls him on Saturdays and Sundays. She is working hard for him. Again I am so sorry about your husband. I appreciate your input because this is what helps us make our decisions. God bless you and take care of you as you move forward.
