I've been on eligard for 2.5 years or so. I asked my doc if eligard can make a person clumsy. He just said it slows the whole brain. Not only do we think in a fog we also move in one

No T and I am clumsy. Walk weird, bump into things and fall more often when feet encounter obstacles that I used to be able to catch myself when tripped. Seems to be new normal for me. 3 1/2 years of no T. And what was that word I was looking for???
Me too. I became very accident prone early on in treatments.
I've noticed I'm more clumsy. I drop more things, bump into things more often, and misjudge distances when moving around. It can be just a tiny amount between missing a glass and knocking it over.
It's very frustrating, but not really a major issue in the big scheme of things. Some of it could also be age, hard to know for sure.
Same here ... big time
It's the just barely missing that causes a lot of problems. The glass bounces off the edge of the shelf the foot grazes box on the floor, I miss Judge some thing which falls on the next thing and some thing else falls on the floor. My wife is amazed
Life on the edge !
I’m dropping stuff all of the time .. I was not that way before.. must take care with power tools . My wife’s has seen the decline .
I thought it was the chemo brain. 😢. I know what I want to say but I have to draw a picture in my mind before I can spit it out. 😖. 51 months and counting 🙏🙏🙏
On Eligard three years now plus Zytiga . I've noticed many changes over the years balance being a big issue. The side effects are many but not all of us seem to share in all of them. In reading into our type of therapy it seems it is a gradual progression and, deterioration of our mind and bodies that will ultimately become evident in all of us. The way I look at it is it keeping me above ground and that make each day count. Never give up Never surrender. Leo
My experience with ADT is that it wrecks a man physically, mentally, and emotionally.......
It destroys the man
Better slow brain than no brain.. 😷🙏
I'm a relative newcomer to Eligard and will get my fourth three-month shot in December. Once it kicked in, I struggled to retrieve information and words; was a wreck emotionally and yes, balance issues surfaced. Don't know if this is psychological but the effects seem to diminish towards the end of the three month periods.
I keep my brain sharp by watching quiz shows, discussing politics with my wife and by being active in the garden.
Garden very good !😎
Ask about trying the addition of an estradiol patch to your regimen. Cleared the brain fog quite nicely for me. And better energy. And protects the bones.
I am in the same boat as Leo2634. Eligard and Zytiga almost three years. I am in rehab to help regain balance. The hardest exercise is what they call tandem walking (heel toe). I do it by holding on to my instructor with one hand. Still I don't do a good job. I do a little better stepping over the cones but I still need to hold on to the instructor for balance.
After over 7 1/2 years on ADT I noticed slowed dynamic equilibrium reactions and anomia. A brain MRI revealed mild periventricular leukoencephalopathy. My MO at MSK couldn’t say it was age related (67at the time) or previous head injury or ADT.
Bolt your doors.
Lock your windows.
There's something in the FOG!
From the 1980 John Carpenter movie
I've been dealing with it as well. Driving used to be a blast, not now
I've joined this group......(I'm the one with the flower pot on my head and in the white dress)

You’ve got skills .👏👏
Estradiol patch added to ADT helps to clear the brain fog. Better energy. Eliminates hot flushes and protects bone density. As far as balance and coordination issues I have no idea. But may be worth a personal trial.
I’m ready for it ..
