Be clean, his last hormone Tx was given July of 2017 and he reached his nadir a year after his first shot. His PSA now is at 2.89 that is why he is receiving scan. My question is why would the RO say he expects the scan to be clean? I’m

There are several possible outcomes:

1) no distant metastases

2) distant metastases

3) no pelvic lymph node metastases

4) pelvic lymph node metastases

5) no cancer in prostate

6) cancer in prostate

Let us know what the outcome is.

I'll post as soon as I have results. I'm metastatic and have been on Joe's and partly Jane's protocols since mid-February. These are the first scans since before I started those things. I'm having MRI of pelvis and PET Aximin of shoulder to knees.

I am on Eligard and Zytiga. Zytiga is now failing me and I switched from Prednisone to Dexamethasone hoping that will stop PSA from rising for a while. Next PSA check in 2 weeks.

My husband has a PSA of 5 and nothing showed up on MRI, PET scan, or Auxumin scan so it’s a biochemical recurrence according to his drs.

We are going to try to get the PSMA PET scan for him to see if there are smaller metastases.

Best of luck with the scan!

Yes, ADT, Zytiga, and Dexamethasone. Switched from Prednisone to Dex and PSA went down a bit. He’s now taking with food and it went down a bit again.

Thank you for your quick and detailed response. You may wish to copy and paste it in your home page for you future reference and for members references too. We all are nervous everytime we have to see our doctor(s). Being nervous will not help anyone so be positive and kick your dog (or cat) 👀

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
