Last PSMA scan was now done with 18F-PSMA PET/CT and they said, it is much better, clearer. Do you have any experiences with this? Advantages, disadvantages?

18F-PSMA instead of 68Ga-PSMA
Of the 18F ligands, the DCFPyL has tested best so far. But there have been no published comparative data with other 18F-PSMA ligands yet. The PSMA-1007 and rhPSMA-7.3 ligands don't get excreted as much through the urinary tract, so there may be less interference in that area.
Better visibility around the prostate, if still there and the bladder. Worse within the liver.
I had a 18F PSMA scan performed at theMontreal Jewish General Hospital. According to the nuclear medicine doctor there they are able to obtain sharper images and detect more lesions at lower PSA values. The half life of 18F is longer than 68Ga which gives more time for the ligand to accumulate at lesions sites. They also test more patients at a lower cost because the yield is better. Cheers, Phil
Both Ga68 PSMA-11 and F18-DCFPyL should work well to detect PSMA avid PC. Preference is often based on what they can make in house or not. I have had both. Probably best to stick to one or the other in the course of a series of treatments for comparative purposes. Good luck.
