To the point... can someone watch and video you through your i-Pad or i-Phone’s camera. The question took on a new sense of urgency last night so the reasoning for my question will follow shortly in part 2!!! I’m trying to make a short story out of a novel but (whats left of) my mind is just spinning out of control!!

Pretty much yes. Certainly most government intelligence services can.

The Saudis apparently did that to Jeff Bezos.

And there are many hackers that can do that.

It's not easy and it's not trivial, but there are a whole lot of people and organizations with that capability.

The ex NSA guy that disclosed all the NSA snooping then ran and hid in Russia. Whenever he gets a phone he physically disconnects the camera and adds a physical switch to the microphone, so he knows he is in control of at least those two sensors.

Not the vote of confidence I was looking for but.....

I have to think that Jeff and NSA are well above “my” pay grade and interest level. Who cares about little old me?! One would think!!!!

Hearing mixed comments posting on both aPC & PC sites.

Have no choice but to let it play out and do damage control??? I guess!!!!

While it is possible. Most of that particular scam are bs. All of them probably.

I would not engage. I would delete.

So I’m going to go ahead and assume that jailbreaking would be something I would have to perform to my device?!!! I don’t know how so.... is there a way to quickly check this?!!! Started looking briefly.... understand it somewhat but under the gun with the ultimatum due by noon.

In my heart I believe its bullshit but right now, I don’t know whether to shit or go blind!!!!

Thats good to know!!! Just reset to factory when memory storage was full (happens every year!) Plus I try to keep ios up to date too,
