What helps address nausea when having chemo treatments?

What helps address teeth chattering chills when having chemo treatments?

Thank you in advance.

There is Zofran and Prochlorfor both prescription required.

Zofran is the only thing that worked for me!

Zofran was a “magic bullet”, but probably the most important thing for me was the oral Decadron(steroid) they gave just before chemo. It gets overlooked but my MO thinks there is very little reason anymore to have patients feeling nausea and being acutely sick during chemo. There are other drugs available that help with nausea and yes, they are all prescription.

Yes but which chemo did you receive? Seems that makes a big difference on the severity of SEs.

Etoposide and Carboplatin 3 days every 3 weeks for a total of 6 cycles. Some were delayed due to low white cell counts.

I'm guessing that if you have to ask you are not in a Medical Marijuana state.

Compazine was my fave and Zofran was good too. I also highly recommend painkillers for the worst times and especially the worst nights. I Injured my back during treatment and my doctor prescribed cyclobenzaprine. Turned out to help with my chemo nausea and pain. Sorry, I did not have teeth chattering chills.
