DO NOT TAKE HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE

It is has been clearly established that Hydroxychloroquine should NOT be taken for the virus.

I call for those who propagated this as an effective treatment apologize to those who may have been hurt by following this FALSE advise, and further, that those who did this, should be bared from making any further statements on this site, as they have proven themselves to be false prophets.

I again believe that those who use this site for their ego and propagation of unsubstantiated medical treatments should be bared from doing so. There are too many sick people who will grasp at any straw, and WE owe it to them to ensure that WE do NOT allow anyone to make false claims that has been going on for far too long on this site.

I again think that anyone who makes these types of unproven medical claims should be criminally charged for their irresponsible conduct, as well perhaps, as facing civil suits for the deaths or early demise of those who followed the nonsense the few who engage on this site of this type of conduct.

My daughter had Covid, was hospitalized, and received this medication and was released from the hospital 2 days later. Anecdotal, yep, but it did happen.

Easy Billyboy. We are all big boys here. We can listen to competing arguments and make our own decisions. Lots of treatments for our prostate cancer can have promising beginnings and turn out not to work. Others are tried and determined later to save lives. Many of us are willing to take calculated risks and live with the consequences whether it be PC or Coronavirus. My MO was using early Zytega with lupron years before the studies showed it to reduce deaths by some 40%. My wife was given Herceptin for her breast cancer 8 years before clinical trials showed it to reduce recurrence some 60%. Hydroxycloroquine had promising early results. Many trials are still underway which may show it to be effective at earlier stages or in different doses. You need to jump down from that high horse. We appreciate your input and opinions.

I do not think that it has been clearly established that Hydroxychloroquine does not work for Corvid-19. There are several ongoing studies and as long as the results are not available we just do not know if it helps or not. I will not take Hydroxychloroquine as long as there are no results available from these ongoing studies. The existing study in France does not provide good evidence. But that does not mean that you know for sure that it does not work.

Calm down..Bullyboy..On this forum, we discuss all different points of view and respect peoples right of free speech. You do not need to be the "protector" of masses as people who read this forum are adults and can analyse the posts and make their own informed decisions.

There is no need to underestimate the intelligence of our fellow members. They are not dumb to drink anything just because someone said something. There is something called personal responsibility. Nobody prescribes anything on this forum..We just put our experiences and information from various sources for people to ponder on them and make their own decisions.

"those who propagated this as an effective treatment"

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, should ever take something they read on an internet forum as an undisputed directive to take a specific action.

While those who post about POSSIBLY effective treatments (for anything) should always spell this out, it is implicit in any discussions here (and on other forums) that they are just that: discussions about possibilities, and NOT medical claims or prescriptions.

It is incumbent on every individual to do his own research and get medical opinions that support a decision to pursue a particular course of action, and to realize "your mileage may vary" even if potential benefits ARE well established by studies. Potential costs must be weighed against potential benefits BY THE INDIVIDUAL, according to his appetite for risk and his own values.

Gentlemen please ..... there is nothing wrong with having your own thoughts about any kind of medication ... nothing whatsoever..... really ..even politically tinged opinions ....

But I think what each and every one of you here will agree with is that you should never put any medication in your mouth before you run it by your medical care team first. We are all adults ( sorta ) here and some well medically educated, but none of us can foresee ALL the potential medical interactions or know our doctors Professional treatment agendas fully.

As long as you rely upon the medical professionals you have entrusted your life with for your final choices , then you are taking all due precautions ......... right ?

No need to argue or fight over something a medical professional should have the last word about.

Just say’in brothers ... we’re all rats on the same sinking ship aren’t we ?

I just swallow whatever my MO prescribes me. No idea what she's feeding me. What's the worst that can happen? Malaria pills are currently low on my concern list. If I latch on to Covid-19, I'm a goner, so why worry? As far as taking advice I read here, I think 99.99% of it is something people wish would happen. " Look out Oak tree your in my way." Anyways, preach on billyboy3.
