I suggest you take what is advised by your oncologist. There are no vitamins that will cure cancer. At a minimum you should test your calcium and vitamin D levels.
Unless he has a deficiency, no supplementary vitamins or minerals. Eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables, a variety of proteins, whole grains, fats from vegetable sources, and calories appropriate for a man of his size and age is a much better idea.
Look into taking 5 grams/3 times a day of modified citrus pectin. also Vitamin D.
Cancer patients have low vitamin D3 levels. So I definitely recommend 5000 i.u.'s of vitamin D3. Also calcium and vitamin C.
My attitude since diagnosis in 2004 has been to take no vitamin or mineral unless there is a positive (associated) benefit, or plausible benefit. Here is my list:
vitamin A or beta carotene - AVOID
vitamin B family - so many of these are involved in hypermethylation - in general, avoid
vitamin C - no benefit with oral C
vitamin D - higher levels are associated with survival
vitamin E - taking alpha tocopherol is a big mistake IMO. Gamma tocopherol has anti-PCa properties, but gamma tocotrienol is much more promising. I use Delta Gold.
vitamin K - needed to transport calcium to bone (& out of arteries). Supplement should be high in K2-7, which seems to have PCa benefit.
Calcium - we need very little. High levels are associated will poorer survival. Possibly because they inhibit the production of hormonal vitamin D.
Magnesium - Very important IMO. Data show that a high magnesium: calcium ratio in the water supply is protective. People who take calcium usually forget the magnesium. The ratio is important. "Calcium will make you old; magnesium will make you young." I agree. LOL
Boron - for bone & also PCa.
Zinc - I prefer zinc citrate, 50mg.
Selenium - only if deficient. Unlikely in USA & Canada. Very likely in the EU. Can't speak to other countries/regions.

You forgot Vitamin Z, found in Cannabis and LSD. Helps you see things in the dark. Also Vitamin Q, found in Big Macs, and essential for spotty skin and weight gain. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad to see that you did not include the fake vitamin B17 - laetrile.
Thanks for your valuable input. LOL

Dear Mrsram , half of the men here don’t believe in nutrients. I’m 100% on 12 or more nutrients taken every day for five years. 41/2 years clear from all visible signs of pc . I ve done this all under advice from a naturalpathic oncologist .. if you are serious get pro advice . Western doctors especially oncologist don’t study or care much for nutrition . It’s up to you to do so if you choose ? You must tailor it to your own needs. There are many nutrients that us nutrient guys commonly accept. D-3 , k2,lycopene, zinc, for bone health calcium , magnesium, boron, and I take strontium.. my favorite one is immunoKinoko 750.. it’s a mushroom complex said to promote natural killer cells . Meriva is a curcumin complex that I love also . 20-40 mgs melatonin and 4.5 naltrexone at night for sleep . Many put down these natural methods. I am a firm believer . Each to there own pathway of healing . I say save yourself any way you can . At least make the effort ., I don’t get it? How anyone could thing that diet and nutrition don’t matter with pc ? Good luck 👍 Scott
