Should you skip meat for good health?

I don't think I have ever even had "sausage wrapped in bacon"....but this article has me craving it ! ! !
LOL. With a side of organic salad, heavy on the kale. (for balance)

Pigs in a blanket. A staple in rural Michigan.

hmmm....our "pigs in a blanket" were wrapped in biscuit dough and baked....so it was bread around the sausage....I used to love those! Now I am craving those!

Love the pigs in a blanket ... or anything else.
I enjoy my red meats, in moderation, but try to keep them lean and of the best quality. I don’t think I could make the conversion to an all plant based diet but, overall, my diet includes lots of veggies and whole grains.
I look forward to reading them.
The first question to ask about any study is who sponsored it. My logic has been domestic animals are fed hormones to make them grow bigger, fatter, Faster. Those hormones end up on your dinner table and they cannot be good for a hormone fueled cancer like Pca.
We ( wife and myself ) asked the same thing 14 months ago in a meeting with my oncologist, hospice and palliative care team. They had “ that look “ and told me to gather my loved ones and enjoy life, eat anything I wanted. Go for it. I think they were thinking 6 or 8 weeks at the time. In the 14 months since , hormone deprivation has plunked about 70 pounds on me , possibly 20% of that boobs. Yayahahahaya every time I see my oncologist he seems fine with it ( I had been losing 18 pounds a week before adt ) ... I’ve recently gotten back on my keto diet ( any thoughts there ? ) because I feel bloated. The down side is the lack of carbs and calories adds considerably to the already massive exhaustion I feel from the adt. I’d like to eat healthier and I am now .... but I’m not sure “that “ act is actually healthy of its self considering. Heart strain, stroke ?
Any thoughts or advice ?
😁😁😁
This is something that I ran across, I'll post it for "food for thought." I am not trying to start a debate about food. I believe everyone is different and there is not a perfect diet. What works for one person might not work for the next in my opinion.

A good rounded out diet of all foods is my thing. I do meat every second day. I love food.
If one wants to know what the longest lived populations eat one might consider reading the books on the "Blue Zones".
I always try to remember diet is not a universal "cure". A good diet only reflects changes in the odds of contracting a given condition. The incidence of any disease on any diet is never zero as there are other factors involved such as genetics, stress & environmental causes.
With diet I am just trying to put the odds in my favor.
Hey 6357axbz!
Dr. Ruth Heidrich!
There can be as you say, different results depending on the factors you mentioned--and exposures to carcinogens.
