Friends, family and communities are strengthened and enriched by those men. Your contributions and participation in our support groups and advocacy efforts makes you a hero. I am grateful to stand with you.
Our research has pushed forward our understanding of psycho-social support. Malecare’s collaborative work been published in more peer reviewed papers than any comparable patient advocacy organization, by far. Our clinical trial with our university partner is testing new ways to improve urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. Our advocacy will likely lead to legislation lowering prescription drug pricing and earlier access to new treatments for those in desperate need. And our educational series will see first of its kind booklets addressing unique concerns by men from minorities and those facing advanced stage disease. Our new annual conference proved to be both helpful and innovative...I can’t wait to announce the lineup for 2020! As several of Malecare’s doctor friends say, we do amazing things that truly help men in ways no one else imagines.
I am proud and honored to lead our small but able nonprofit. I trust that you feel the same and that our efforts have been helpful to you. As we enter 2020, I hope that we will continue our mutual fight against prostate cancer, with our mission to help men live longer and happier lives.
