The forty years of wandering is usually blamed

on the faithlessness of the Israelites,

setting aside the knowledge

that Moses was already 80 when

the great journey began.

Though the tribe was young, and raring

to make the mad dash to Canaan,

the caravan had to stop every half hour or so

and encamp while Moses coaxed pee from his bladder.

How could they locate the land of milk and honey

when the leader's prostate was big as a plum,

and metastasized throughout his bones.

I've also heard speculation from a lady friend that another possible reason why the Israelites had to wander in the desert for so long was because Moses wouldn't stop and ask for directions.

Or he did have APC and lost all sense of direction ..😂

Good point. They didn’t have MRI’s or CAT-scans, much less psa diagnosis. Actually, we didn’t officially have cells and molecules back then so the equipment would have been pointless.

It’s fiction ,but it makes you wonder ? 😂. Who throughout history did have PC ?

As with today, probably mostly older men had PC in centuries past; however, life expectancies at birth were quite low. Only the lucky and the elites who lived beyond their childhoods were likely to go on to live significantly beyond age 40. Medical type observations and diagnoses in animals and human prostates did not really begin to be better documented until into the 1700-1800s. Some interesting history is here:

So “ we “ are the elites in a sense not to die at forty . Just 50 years ago they didn’t do what they did to me . I wouldn’t be here . So they’ve pulled us from falling off the edge . These four years I’ve been given after dx are a gift . It’s been some hell as we all know . All in all. I’m happy to be here ., I’d say that pc has been here since the dawn of man . Man wasn’t designed to live past 70 . We have an rapidly expanding geriatric society . This social security will surely go bust in the future . In the Inuit society ,if a man couldn’t contribute anymore to the tribe he was set adrift on an ice glow out to sea. The process of natural selection was to keep the group strong as a whole .. man has interfered with medicine and time . Is this really gods plan? Or just man ‘ s? Thank you , very interesting .. Take care 🎄
