Should PSA drop after radiation for spine Mets?

I have been taking Xtandi now since August 2nd of 2019. Elegard injections every three months since June 2017. My PSA has been slowly going down Aug - 18.0PSA. Sept 19.3 PSA. Oct 16.6. & yesterday Nov. 16.6. I thought it would drop faster ? I am returning to radiation 5 treatments to spine for pain management in the upcoming week. Can I expect my PSA to continue to drop once I have had the radiation on spine Mets ? Please see my profile for my history. Thank you

Yes PSA should drop (after an initial increase), but what of it? The important thing is whether it reduces pain and spinal compression - there may be a temporary increase in pain before it reduces. Chemo will control pain as well.

My PSA went down very fast after they radiated a fractured lesion on my bone. MO said that it probably helped to be on Xtandi while doing radiation because perhaps the Xtandi had a little synergy working together with the radiation.
