Thanks Lulu700. Yep, things seemed so out of control when I first joined. But with some help, some from this sight, and a refocus of what really matters I'm in a good place. This clinical trial is getting results! Hope you are doing well...Mark

That is great news. I didn't know anything about Talapro so I looked it up and learned that it's a novel PARP inhibitor that is good at killing cells that have DNA mutations that force them to rely on PARP to repair DNA and survive. One source said that 20% of PCa patients have the DNA repair mutations that force them to rely on PARP. It could be a real game changer for those patients.

Do you know yet if you were on the PARP drug + enzalutamide, or just on placebo + enzalutamide? Even if you're on the placebo, you're still doing very well. It means you have an excellent response to enzalutamide - also a good thing.

Best of luck.

Alan

My MO suspects I am getting the PARP drug based on other indicators. But like you said, either way the results are good.

Fantastic news, great result. I signed up today for prescreening for genomic testing for DNA repair genes from tissue bisopy. If accepted, I will go into a phase 3 randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study of Talazoparib/Placebo and Enzulutamide. I am hoping I am accepted.

Same trial I am on. So far great results and the side effects have been minimal. Hope you get in so we can compare notes.
