So we have been on the ACT 225 trial here in SA along with Zytiga. Two months ago, bone mets were virtually gone and PSA down to 3. AFter 3 injections, the PSA started rising so Oncologist stopped the Zytiga. Hubby had a 4th ACT injection after that. Since stopping the Zytiga, he has been sicker and has had alot more pain. Today he had another PSMA scan and shock, horror, the cancer has progressed. I have been very concerned that they just stopped Zytiga without going straight onto Xtandi and am fuming now because of the progression we saw today. Hubby still has half a bottle of Zytiga and we are playing with the idea of him just drinking the last of the pills until we see the Oncologist next week. Has anybody done this ? We are still waiting to hear if he will have another ACT 225 injection next week.

I am not expert and I am sure more will answer but I believe that this could be very toxic to him. There is a reason there are strict rules about the taking of them. If taken with food, it increases absorption, so we take far between meals.
From an FDA doc on Zytiga accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatf... , it says
"OVERDOSAGE
There have been no reports of overdose of ZYTIGA during clinical studies. There is no specific antidote. In the event of an overdose, stop ZYTIGA, undertake general supportive measures, including monitoring for arrhythmias and cardiac failure and assess liver function. "

I know what you are going through is very scary but I cannot believe that doing this will help in any way, only make him worse, possibly kill him.
I wish you and your husband to find a new way to beat his cancer and also peace and calm in the storm.
I think 4 Ac225 infusions are a lot. It seems that it does not work any more. Therefore I would avoid another Ac225 infusion, it has significant side effects. Try to continue with Xtandi.
