Started or re-started Casodex today. What is the absorption rate in my body? I.e. how fast does it attack my PCa?
Where do I find the chemistry formula makeup and metabolism intake?

check bicalutamide. I think Wikipedia has an entry.
Try the official prescribing info and pubchem. I'm on a plan and landing or I would look through it for you.
how fast it attacks your PC is individual and is not related to the absorption rate. The pharmacokinetics (including absorption and metabolism) are in section 12.3 on p15, but that is probably not what you really want to know
I started Casodex about three weeks before Zytiga and it dropped my PSA from 33 to 21. Adding Zytiga, and later Lupron got it to < 0.1 within about 3 months.
Blood donating have been a family tradition for near 100 years. I was credited with 13 gallons until 11 years ago when diagnosed and treated for PCa. Much to my surprise Saturday at a Blood One drive I was shown Casodex is no longer a disqualifying medication for donating blood. Mary and I both were able to donate.

Hi Doug,
Dr. Charles “Snuffy” Myers always prescribed 150mg. of casodex daily.
Best Wishes. Never Give In.

Exactly. My local MO had me on 50mg of Casodex and once I saw Snuffy, he tripled it.

And you’re side effects tripled, too?
There was only about 7 days between the change from 50mg to 150mg,, so no change in SEs. All of this was when I was first diagnosed 7 years ago, so the main SE I recall was hot flashes as T dropped. Myers used estrogen patches to moderate SEs. He was a genius and I miss him.
