Gut fat after first Firmagon shots

Got the initial double shot of Firmagon five days ago. Site pain is long gone but now I have what I guess is the predicted swelling but just looks like a big blob of belly fat across the two injection points. Have been applying regular ice packs which seem to shrink it temporarily but the fat returns soon as it warms up. Can anybody taking Firmagon give me a clue how long I'm going to have this extra gut baggage... or is it permanent. Thanks much for any thoughts.

The swelling and redness for me is usually gone in a week, then 3 weeks later we start over and do it again

It will go away ..The good news is that firmagon can be very effective.. hope the pain go away soon . Hang in there , I don’t know if icing it is correct? Just pray that it works .. then it’s worth it . Good luck ..

That's encouraging. Thanks. Actually the injection site pain was pretty minor and lasted only a day or so. The soft fatty bulge seems to be receding a little bit today so I think the icing (recommended by administering nurse) is okay. Oddly, aside from frequent peeing I haven't noticed any of the listed PC or ADT symptoms despite a recent jump in PSA to 22 just prior to beginning the Firmagon. Still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
