Waves of Exhaustion

Anyone of my cyber brothers find a multi-vitamin, or any other magic potion or lotion for that matter, that helps with the seemingly endless bouts of exhaustion? I wake up feeling like I’m 18 only to complete a mile or so run and feel like I just smoked a pack of unfiltered Camels. Crazy thing is 30 minutes or so later I’m back to full charge only to experience the same pattern throughout the day. I’ve just finished up my 16th month of Zytega & lupron injections. Trying to stay ahead of the curve so as to get another season ok kayaking & golf in without looking like it’s my first time doing either.

Your suggestions much appreciated.

I’m just a few weeks into ADT on Zytiga and Casodex, and I find it’s best to work out in the am before I take my first dose, I suspect my T is highest then, and fatigue is lowest. Then eat a protein packed breakfast with a base of yogurt and plant protein, and assorted nuts and fruits. I’m able to do pretty much anything before, but peak performance is definitely lower in running and swimming. I can tell that extra kick is not there. I also have a little muscle soreness in some spots. My T is <10. I’ve got a long way to go, but gradually getting used to it. I haven’t had a Lupron shot yet but debating if I really need it with my T so low, and PSA rapidly dropping from 33 to 4.5 in just a few weeks.

The body can only store a finite amount of vitamins and then it throws off the excess. A good diet and daily exercise, to the best of your ability, is best. There was however in my case several months after prostate removal surgery when I could barely walk around my house because I was so weak and tired. That should pass, though.

Thanks for the response & I feel your pain. Just opened my 17th bottle of Zytiga this morning. While I'm thankful for little to no pain, the amount of energy seems to descend. Sadly, golf and jogging are no longer a joy but now a chore. I started on Ginseng yesterday after reading a few articles from Mayo Clinic. Nasty taste but if I can get a energy jolt it'll be worth gagging down. I feel as you that exercise is critical and will continue to dedicate an hour or two a day. Like my wife says "pick your battles."

Exercise is critical but naps are necessary too.

Your problem is you're trying to play golf in a kayak... Tennis would be better.

I recently tried bowling to see if I would expend less energy than golf. Seems to be equally challenging but I’ve only lost one ball so far!

That is very funny. Just be careful. You do not want to lose both of your balls.

Just get in the kayak and keep paddling ..my back is ok right now but I av3 the sorts of energy followed by fatigue over And over four years . Clear three and a half . I’m on adt still .. and have had 3 T for the same time . No T is guilty of much of this . Exercise will help especially when you feel lethargic . My wife would pus( me to get up and do something. On ,y own I would have done worse . Helps to have a prodding friend or partner ..w3 start3d pingshuai 12 days ago . I think if you did this simple swinging your arms Gi-gong routine daily it could pull you out of fatigue . for at least an hour a day .... T was such a huge energy factor for us before . You will adjust to it all . It took me until six months ago just to Lose anger and frustration of being whittles down to a stick . I’m happy I’m alive . Follow your happiness . Hope things go well for you . Scott 🌵

Green tea , ginseng ,don’t overeat , exercise when you least feel like it . You want to oxygenate your blood daily . I almost turned into R.I.P. Van Winkle my first two years of holding hands with APC .. 😎 So now im just happy to be on cruise control , until I hit a pot hole .
