Not everyone is a Robert Frost fan, but here is the poem:

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

This reminds me of my experience after recovering from the initial shock of diagnosis. I had been going through life on autopilot not really living. The cancer became a gift that taught me to appreciate each day.

Does that to you... I'm driving my partner nuts by hugging and kissing him all the time (did a lot before but now increased). I feel blessed to have him in my life but this has increased the blessed +++.

Every Toad travels their own Road carrying their own Load and then pays what they Owed.

One of my favorite Frost poems is The Hill Wife. I've been thinking often of the last stanza after my husband's diagnosis and hospitalization:

Sudden and swift and light as that

The ties gave,

And he learned of finalities

Besides the grave.
