Could anyone advise if they experienced fatigue after first treatment of Lutetium 177? Just trying to see what side effects we should expect! Thanks

I had some intense fatigue after the Lu 177 PSMA infusion but it lasted less than one day. I was Ok the following day and I did not have any other side effect. It is a pretty benign therapy except for people with a large number of bone mestatases. They could have supression of the bone marrow.

Thanks tango65, we are just wondering if it would be too much to fly from Germany to the UK in the early morning of the day after discharge from hospital

In my case on the day of discharge they did a few checks followed by a final meeting with the treating physician. I could leave the clinic in the afternoon. I felt ok, just a bit of fatigue the following days.

"They could have supression of the bone marrow"

Interesting. I hadn't thought about that.

After the first treatment I was tired for about 2 weeks and needed an afternoon nap. I started getting tired a few weeks before the second round but this is a result of the disease progressing and not being contained as I had hoped (mixed response). I ended up in quite a bit of pain February March and was admitted to hospital until that was under control when I underwent salvage RT. I was very sore in the hips but this is now steadily improving. I have now opted for traditional treatment and will start Docetaxel in a couple of weeks time. I chose Lu177 as it did not preclude any other treatment regimens.

I had mild fatigue for a few days. Nothing serious. I felt "off" for the first 48 hours however. Hard to describe but I felt dizzy and disoriented.

I had mild fatigue also for couple days on the first infussion but after the second one & especially after the galium scan my joints became stiff & in pain with leg cramps. They explained that beign Ostio arthritis in joints & a pinched nerve in back. It happened all at once which makes me think either the Lutetium or the Galium scan was responsible.

Now they have wiped me off the list & put out to die or do Chemo.

If there is justice in or after this world they will have their turn on the merry go round.
